THE OFFICAL FRAMES OF THE SAINT JOHN’S BIBLE.
The Saint John’s Bible artwork is both sacred and rare. As a project that began thirty years ago between the visionary monks of Saint John’s Abbey and the artisan, Donald Jackson, Senior Scribe to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s Crown Office at the House of Lords, The Unbound Collection is the only opportunity ever for investors to acquire their own individual pages of the Bible for display. To showcase this art in a manner which supports the original vision of The Unbound Collection, the monks at Saint John’s Abbey Woodworking have created a custom frame to complement the illuminations found on the individual pages. The frames are made from solid red oak sustainably harvested from the 3,000-acre forest surrounding the Saint John’s Abbey. No two look identical due to the natural wood grain. The four corners of each frame contain inlays using wood from the Rolls estate in Wales, and The Saint John’s Bible logo is laser engraved into the frame.
